Agastache rugosa is a medicinal and ornamental plant in the Lamiaceae family.1 In Korea, it is used for Korean pencakes and stew, more specifically for Bosintang and Chu-eo-tang. Chu-eo-tang is a soup or stew cooked by Chinese muddy loach (Misgurnus mizolepis, a type of fish2). Can also be drunk as herbal tea.1 In China it is one of the 50 fundamental herbs used in traditional Chinese medicine. Agastache rugosa has some antibacterial and antifungal properties.1 Agastache rugosa may have anti-atherogenic properties. Blooms appear in these approximate colours: Vivid Purple. A type of flowering herb, it mainly grows as a perennial plant - which means it typically grows best over a long period (from 3 years+). Korean mint is known for growing to a height of approximately 3.96 feet (that's 1.22 metres in metric) with a forb habit. As Korean mint is a low maintanence plant, it is great for beginner gardeners and those that like gardens that don't need much overseeing.
